Marine pumps: fresh water, bilge, seawater, and diesel

Marine pumps move liquids on board: they bring fresh water to the taps, empty the bilge, supply the seawater circuit for engines and air conditioners, and transfer diesel fuel. In this category, you will find electric pumps, pressure tanks, submersible pumps, hand pumps, and spares from leading brands, including Gianneschi, for which Technofluid is the official dealer for Sicily.

How to choose the right pump

  • Use: fresh water (pressure tanks), bilge, fire-fighting, diesel, and seawater, emergency (hand pumps).
  • Voltage: 12 V or 24 V direct current, or 230 V if there is a generator or shore power on board.
  • Flow rate and head: how much water it must move and at what height or distance.
  • Spare parts: mechanical seals, impellers, and spare kits extend the pump's life.

Frequently asked questions about marine pumps

What is the difference between a pressure tank and a bilge pump?

The pressure tank pressurizes the fresh water system and starts automatically when you open a tap; the bilge pump sucks up water that collects at the bottom of the boat and discharges it overboard.

Pump at 12 V, 24 V, or 230 V?

Choose the voltage of your boat's system: 12 V or 24 V for direct current systems, 230 V only if the pump is powered by a generator or inverter.

Do you also sell pump spare parts?

Yes, you will find mechanical seals, spare kits, and pressure switches, especially for Gianneschi pumps.
