Shurhold 6″ brush with soft blue fibers: gentle cleaning for the boat

The Shurhold 6″ brush with soft blue fibers (supplier code 36.970.00) is an accessory designed for operations cleaning and maintenance on board, when a practical and manageable brush is needed, suitable for working on surfaces that require a gentler touch. The combination of structure in marine wood painted with polyurethanes, shockproof edge and “premium” fibers” makes it a suitable choice for daily use in a nautical environment.

The connection system includes a angled snap-on aluminum attachment, useful for quick attachment with compatible accessories from the line (when present in your cleaning set). The version offered here is the 6″ with soft fibers in blue nylon.

Features and construction details

Body in painted marine wood

The brush base is made of marine wood with polyurethane painting, a typical solution for use in contexts where humidity and frequent use require appropriate materials. The finish helps keep the brush body neat and easy to clean after use.

Shockproof edge

The shockproof edge is designed to reduce the risk of unwanted contacts during cleaning maneuvers, especially near edges, handrails, hardware, or areas with less convenient access. It is a useful detail when working on deck or along the sides, where accidental bumps can happen.

Soft “premium” fibers in blue nylon

This variant mounts soft fibers in blue nylon. The choice of soft fibers is recommended when a gentler action is desired, for example for regular cleaning and for surfaces you prefer to treat carefully. The “premium” fibers are designed for practical and continuous use in maintenance activities.

Angled snap-on aluminum attachment

The brush integrates a angled snap-on attachment made of aluminum. The angling helps to work with a more natural posture in various situations (for example on horizontal planes or slightly inclined surfaces), while the snap system is designed to make attaching/detaching the accessory faster.

6″ variant and availability of other sizes

This sheet refers to the version 6″, typically chosen when a more compact and controllable brush is desired, also useful in areas with tight spaces or narrow passages.

Typical applications in the nautical field

The Shurhold brush with soft fibers is suitable for many activities of boat cleaning and care, especially when you want to avoid too aggressive an action. Depending on the detergent used and the surface to be treated, it can be used for routine cleaning and for removing surface dirt.

Where it can be useful

• Deck and walkable areas: for routine cleaning and light dirt removal.
• Areas with limited access: the 6″ size helps to work with greater precision.
• Surfaces requiring delicacy: the use of soft fibers is recommended when a gentler contact is preferred.
• Routine maintenance: as part of the onboard cleaning kit, for frequent interventions.

Practical advantages

• Gentle approach: the soft blue nylon fibers are designed for less aggressive cleaning.
• Careful structure: marine wood with polyurethane varnish for use consistent with the nautical environment.
• Greater protection in use: the shockproof edge helps during maneuvers near sensitive parts or edges.
• Quick coupling: angled aluminum snap attachment for easier accessory changes.
• Handy size: the 6″ variant is suitable for those seeking control and precision during cleaning.

Use and notes

Usage tips

To achieve a neat result, it is good practice to use the brush with water and a detergent suitable for the surface to be treated, working with regular strokes and without excessive pressure. In the presence of more stubborn dirt, it may be useful to proceed gradually, letting the detergent act according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Rinsing and care after use

After cleaning, rinse the fibers thoroughly to remove dirt and detergent residues. Let the brush dry in a ventilated area. Proper cleaning of the accessory helps keep it ready for the next use and reduces residue buildup between the fibers.

Compatibility with handles and accessories

The product is equipped with angled snap-on attachment: before purchase or use, check compatibility with your handle/shaft and with accessories already on board, especially if you use components from different lines.
